Miniature painting on vellum, late 16th century. Most probably made in a French monastery. Christ seated, shackled and with Nimbus is surrounded by the holy Franciscus, Clara, Petrus and Stephanus.  To the right a kneeling sister of the cloth. It might even be the sister whom issued this painting to be made. The skulls and weaponry lying in front of Jesus symbolises his suffering. Verso traces of paper. The condition is exceptional good.
